Terms and Conditions (Australia Edition – v1.5)

1. SCOPE OF AGREEMENT

1.1 Voluntary Program: Ikefield Care is a voluntary Service and Maintenance Program (the "Program") provided by Ikefield Technology Pty Ltd (the "Company").

1.2 Statutory Rights: The benefits conferred by this Program are in addition to the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Your rights under the ACL are not excluded, limited, or modified by this Program.

1.3 Contractual Binding: By purchasing this Program, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

2. COVERAGE AND PERIOD

2.1 Total Protection Duration: The Program provides a combined total of fifteen (15) months of hardware support.

  • Standard Warranty Period: Months 1–3 from the date of original purchase.

  • Ikefield Care Period: Months 4–15 (the "Extended Period").

2.2 SN Binding: This Program is strictly bound to the original product’s unique Serial Number (SN) and is non-transferable to other units or devices.

3. CORE SERVICE STANDARDS

3.1 Hardware Repair: The Company will repair or replace hardware functional failures occurring during normal residential use. Replacement parts or units may be refurbished but will be equivalent to new in performance.

3.2 Logistics Benefit: For valid claims confirmed by our technicians, the Company will cover the reasonable costs of Two-Way Shipping within Australia.

3.3 Facility: All services must be performed at the authorized Ikefield Service Centre (Melbourne, VIC).

4. USAGE RESTRICTIONS

4.1 Residential Use Only: This Program applies solely to products used for personal, domestic, and residential purposes.

4.2 Commercial Use Void: Any commercial, industrial, or professional use (including but not limited to: rental services, office cleaning, commercial 3D printing farms, or for-profit prototyping) will result in the immediate voiding of this Program without refund.

5. EXCLUSIONS (NON-WARRANTY ITEMS)

The Program does not cover, and the Company is not liable for:

5.1 Consumables & Wear and Tear: Any parts requiring periodic replacement or maintenance, including but not limited to:

  • Cleaning Products: Brushes, filters, mopping pads, dust bags, and seals.

  • 3D Printers: Nozzles, build plates (PEI/Glass), extruders, and drive belts.

  • Lawn Mowers: Cutting blades and wheels.

5.2 Environmental & External Damage: Damage caused by power surges, lightning, fire, flood, extreme temperatures, corrosion (salt-air), or pest infestation (e.g., insects or rodents).

5.3 User Misconduct: Damage resulting from accidental drops, liquid ingress, pet waste, or failure to perform routine maintenance as prescribed in the user manual.

5.4 Unauthorized Modification: Any product that has been disassembled, modified, or repaired by a third party not authorized by the Company.

5.5 Cosmetic Defects: Minor scratches, dents, or discoloration that do not impact the device's functional performance.

6. SERVICE FEES AND LOGISTICS

6.1 Inbound Responsibility: The customer must ensure the device is securely packaged for transit. The Company is not liable for damage or loss incurred during shipping due to inadequate packaging.

6.2 No Fault Found (NFF) Fee: If the device is inspected and found to be in working order, or if the failure is identified as an "Exclusion" under Section 5, the customer shall be liable for:

  • A $45.00 AUD Diagnostic Fee; and

  • All actual Two-Way Shipping Costs incurred by the Company.

6.3 Property Ownership: In the event of a product replacement, the original faulty unit becomes the legal property of the Company.

7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

7.1 Maximum Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company’s total liability shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product.

7.2 Consequential Loss: The Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to: loss of profits, loss of data (3D files/mapping data), or loss of use during the repair period.

8. REFUND AND TERMINATION

8.1 Non-Refundable: Once purchased, the Program cannot be refunded as a standalone item.

8.2 Linked Refund: A refund for this Program will only be processed if the associated hardware product is returned and refunded under the Company's general Return Policy.

9. SEVERABILITY

If any part of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remainder of the Terms shall remain in full force and effect.
